I wanted to break from this Muffin Low series to note that my mom went to the Chicago Land Pet Expo over the weekend and reports it was a lot of fun. We are thinking of exhibiting at this particular expo next year and wanted to check it out. At first upon entering she thought oh no, she thought this thing was supposed to be one of the larger events! At first glance it looked small but little did she know it whirled and twirled around including a second level of exhibitors. We really love these facilities that are popping up that are Pet Resorts. These are just fabulous! These places look better than some resorts my mom has stayed at!! In ground swimming pools for the pooches and private condos made to look like someone’s bedroom. She didn’t dare look at the prices but to me, that’s what I’m talking about!
Pet people are funny and sometimes catty. My mom made her way to a couple of booths expecting to get “sold” to but ended up receiving the out to lunch look on a body clearly sitting in front of her. It’s amazing how places like that are even in business when that’s their idea of customer service and sales. But most vendors were not like that and she enjoyed being surrounded by crazy pet people with just the best intentions in their heart. Finding new products and new places to buy from is fun. I’m a new supporter of Furr-Kidz and got some cute cat beds from local rescues. Supporting people who are pouring their heart and soul into a pet business has to be applauded and we would rather buy from them, than any big named pet chain any day!! Chicago Land Expo ****
